Frequently Asked Questions about Free Flow

1) Q. How difficult is it to install your products?

A.  It takes about 15-20 minutes per Conversion-Kit.  one lady from MO had this to say: "I installed the product myself, it was pretty easy" S.S. Pacific MO

"It certainly was not a difficult job to do.  It could have been easier if someone had brought down the eaves trough on the ground." Peter Grossman, Coquitlam BC

2) Q. How many Free Flow Conversion-Kits do I need to install?

A. You should have one Free Flow Conversion-Kit for each downspout and we recommend that you have one downspout for each 25-30 ft of gutters and is what you should have as a standard of good installation

3) Q. I'm not very hand when it comes to working on a ladder; what do you suggest I do?

A. Look in the yellow pages for a local chimney sweep, handyman or even a window cleaner.  These folks are always on ladders and since our kits are easy to install, they can do it for you at a fair price.

4) Q. My situation is unique, I have lots of huge trees.  Will your system work for me?

A. If you have large trees near your house I suggest you use our Free Flow (Conversion-Kits).  These units allow rainwater to flow continuously and leaves and dirt find their way out gradually.  Who cares if in between rainfalls you have leaves in your gutters, the important thing is that rainwater flows.  A good gutter installation certainly helps and I can provide you with that info, it's not hard to do and part of the solution.

5). Q. My downspouts are 2" x 2", can I use your Free Flow Conversion-Kits?

A. No.  I recommend you have 2" x 3" or 2 5/8" x 2 5/8" or 3" x 3" downspouts or clogging is assured.  If you want to solve your gutter problem once and for all, change your downspouts and use our Free Flow unit.  I've been asked many times to produce a conversion-kit for 2" x 2" downspouts but we refuse to market a product we know will not work.

6) Q. Can I use your Free Flow Conversion-Kits on my vinyl gutters?

A. Yes, you can as long as your gutters are flat bottoms (no curves). However, you must use Aluminum or steel downspouts because the plastic downspouts cannot fit on to the Free-Flow unit.

7) Q. Why use plastic materials?

   A. 1) Because plastic is strong and will not bend like thin metal.  This way it avoids becoming a problem like elbows that can be crushed.  With today's technology, the plastic I use will last 25 yrs to 50 yrs.

   A. 2) Our products have no joints - with metal you must have joints that will eventually leak.

8) Q. What about using gutter covers with your Kits?

A. Yes you can, it would give you double the insurance of any clogging ever happening.

9) Q. Are your products paintable?

A. Yes, the Free Flow Conversion-Kits are paintable so you can match any color you have and with the new paints for PVC Vinyl available today, it will last for many, many years.
